Today, we are excited to announce the general availability of Lisa - a new Belgian Dutch female Neural Text-to-Speech (NTTS) voice for Amazon Polly. Amazon Polly is a service that turns text into lifelike speech, allowing you to create applications that talk and to build entirely new categories of speech-enabled products.
Lisa is our first synthetic voice in Belgian Dutch, a language variant also known as Flemish. Lisa will be available alongside another neural Dutch voice - Laura - that was developed for the Netherlands. This release is intended for our customers who offer voice products to their Belgian Dutch speaking users.
Lisa and all the other NTTS voices are available in AWS regions supporting Neural TTS. For more details, please read the Amazon Polly documentation and visit our pricing page.
