AWS Mainframe Modernization with AWS Blu Age Runtime is now available with more flexibility in configuration of the complete stack and deployment on customers’ AWS account EC2 instances.
Customers can deploy applications modernized with AWS Mainframe Modernization Automated Refactor by onboarding to the service and accessing an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) that includes AWS Blu Age Runtime, transaction and dataset management tools, and many more features. Using the Amazon Cloud Development Kit (CDK) released today, they will be able to deploy and customize their AWS Mainframe Modernization components a la carte.
The on-demand pricing model for AWS Blu Age remains unchanged and is based on runtime usage at a per CPU core per hour rate. This means that customers will have greater flexibility and control in leveraging their existing AWS infrastructure, integrating mainframe modernization with currently deployed toolsets and applications, and optimizing modernization infrastructure costs.
The packaged AWS Blu Age Runtime is generally available in the AWS Regions US East (Ohio, N. Virginia), US West (N. California, Oregon), and Europe (Ireland).
