You can now view ‘Balance Due’ for an invoice and the ‘Invoice Amount’ in the AWS Billing console. The ‘Balance due’ column reflects the total amount outstanding for each invoice, while the ‘Invoice Amount’ reflects the value of the invoice when the invoice was issued to you. The Balance due information is updated periodically, once the funds are realized by AWS.
In addition, the updated ‘Payments Due Summary’, which reflects the amount payable to AWS, provides a total of ‘Balance due’ of unpaid or partially paid invoices linked to your account . This will allow you to get an up to date balance of the total amount that you owe to AWS, and will help reduce over/under payments in error. Before the launch of this feature, 'Payments Due Summary' reflected a total of 'Invoice Amount' without taking into account the payments that you already made against those invoices.
This feature is available to customers in all AWS Commercial Regions, excluding the Amazon Web Services China (Beijing) Region, operated by Sinnet and Amazon Web Services China (Ningxia) Region, operated by NWCD. Certain customer segments, in supported AWS Commercial Regions, may not be eligible for this service.
