Service Quotas now supports requesting a quota increase on number of instances for a specific Amazon OpenSearch Service domain in your AWS account. With this launch, you can also view applied quota values for each domain in your AWS account.
Previously, you would use Service Quotas to request a quota increase for the number of instances per domain and the new quota value would be applied to all domains in your AWS account. If you wanted to apply a higher quota value to a specific domain, then you would need to contact AWS Support and specify the Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of that domain in the support case correspondence. With this launch, Service Quotas now provides you with an option to choose the specific domain for which you want to request a quota increase. Using Service Quotas to set different quota values for each OpenSearch domain provides you better control over your instance usage.
Service Quotas enables you to manage your AWS service quotas from one central location. You can access Service Quotas through the AWS console, and via AWS APIs and CLI. This feature is available in all AWS regions supported by Service Quotas today at no additional charge. Explore Service Quotas and review the User Guide to learn more.
