Today, AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN announces the general availability of public network support for LoRaWAN-based Internet of Things (IoT) devices. With this update, you can now connect your LoRaWAN devices to the cloud using publicly available LoRaWAN networks provided by Everynet, a LoRaWAN network operator, without deploying and operating a private LoRaWAN network. The public LoRaWAN network is provided as a service and operated by Everynet, and by adding this public network support, customers can choose from within the AWS console to use Everynet's network.

AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN is a fully managed LoRaWAN network server that allows you to connect wireless devices that use low-power, long-range wide area network (LoRaWAN) technology, to the cloud. With the new integration, you can choose to use the existing public network provided by Everynet to connect your LoRaWAN devices to the cloud and save on development costs and time. By including support for public LoRaWAN networks within AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN, you do not need to interface with third party network providers to begin using public networks, and you can manage their network subscription costs through the AWS billing system.

AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN now supports Everynet’s network coverage in the US and UK. The feature is available in all regions where AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN is available. Visit the developer guide to learn more about this feature.
