Today, AWS announces the general availability of Amazon CloudWatch Network Monitor, as a new feature of Amazon CloudWatch that helps monitor network availability and performance between AWS and your on-premises environments.

 Amazon CloudWatch Network Monitor provides real-time visibility into hybrid network performance and availability between AWS and on-premises infrastructure. Network Monitor needs zero manual instrumentation and gives you access to real-time network visibility to proactively and quickly identify issues within the AWS network and your own hybrid environment. Ensure network reliability by monitoring and shipping these metrics to CloudWatch. Setup custom CloudWatch alarms to get notified of network degradation, and then use the AWS Network Health Indicator to identify whether the cause of network performance degradation. Take action and remediate issues fast before users are impacted. Simply specify the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) subnets and endpoints to create your first Network Monitor. 

Network Monitor is available in US East (Northern Virginia), US East (Ohio) Region, US West (Oregon), US West (Northern California), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Paris), Europe (Stockholm), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Middle East (Bahrain) commercial regions.
