Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus now supports inline editing of rules and alert manager configuration directly from the AWS console. Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is a fully managed Prometheus-compatible monitoring service that makes it easy to monitor and alarm on operational metrics at scale. Prometheus is a popular Cloud Native Computing Foundation open-source project for monitoring and alerting on metrics from compute environments such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service.
Previously, customers could define alerting and recording rules, or alert manager definition, by importing respective configuration defined in a YAML file, via the AWS console. Now, they can import, preview, and edit existing rules or alert manager configurations from YAML files or create them directly from the AWS console. The inline editing experience allows customers to preview their rules and alert manager configuration prior to setting them.
This feature is now available in all regions where Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus is generally available.
