Amazon DataZone achieves SOC, ISO, and CSTAR certifications
Amazon DataZone, a fully managed data management service for cataloging, discovering, analyzing, sharing, and governing data within an organization, has achieved key milestones in security and compliance certifications. These accomplishments reflect an ongoing effort to expand compliance programs to support customers' architectural and regulatory needs.
The certifications included System and Organization Controls (SOC) 1, 2, and 3, validating the effectiveness of compliance controls through independent third-party assurance. Additionally, Amazon DataZone secured International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications—ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27018, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27701, and ISO/IEC 20000, ensuring the highest standards standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and interoperability. Furthermore, the service achieved the Cloud Security Alliance Security, Trust & Assurance Registry (CSA STAR) certification under CCM 4.0, assessing the security and privacy controls of its cloud services. These certifications, along with the previous HIPAA certification, strengthens its commitment to maintaining security, quality, and compliance standards.
