Announcing expanded DICOMweb retrievals with AWS HealthImaging
AWS HealthImaging has launched two additional DICOMweb APIs for retrieving medical imaging metadata and image frames. This launch offers customers greater flexibility in how they access data stored on HealthImaging, and expanded interoperability with legacy applications.
Customers can now download DICOM instance metadata from HealthImaging with GetDICOMInstanceMetadata. Customers can also retrieve one or more image frames from a DICOM instance stored on HealthImaging with GetDICOMInstanceFrames. Both of these APIs are built in conformance with the DICOMweb WADO-RS standard for web-based medical imaging. These APIs make it easy to connect DICOMweb-enabled applications, such as medical imaging viewers, to HealthImaging data stores.
