The AWS Management Console now supports simultaneous sign-in for multiple AWS accounts
Today, AWS announces multi-session support, which enables AWS customers to access multiple AWS accounts simultaneously in the AWS Console. AWS Customers can sign-in to up to 5 sessions in a single browser, and this can be any combination of root, IAM, or federated roles in different accounts or in the same account.
Customers scale their applications using multiple accounts following AWS best-practice guidelines. They use accounts for different environments such as development, testing, production, and compare resource configurations and statuses across multiple accounts for troubleshooting application issues and other application related jobs. Using multi-session capability in the AWS Console, customers can now sign-in to multiple AWS accounts and manage their resources in a single browser.
Multi-session support is available in all Commercial Regions. Try it today by signing in to the AWS Console, selecting the account menu, and selecting “Turn on multi-session”. You can opt out at any time from the account menu. Visit AWS Console documentation to learn more.
