Airflow deployment
Managed Workflows leverage the open-source Apache Airflow product. Managed Workflows is designed to deploy from AWS Management Console, CLI, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS SDK, leveraging the Airflow user experience.
Scaling
Managed Workflows is designed for worker scaling. Worker monitoring is designed so that when workers are over-burdened MWAA provisions additional workers and then decommissions them as needed.
Built-in security
Managed Workflows is designed with built-in security features including virtual network isolation and data encryption.
Workflow monitoring in AWS or on-premises
Managed Workflows is designed to help you monitor workflows by sending Apache Airflow system metrics and logs to Amazon CloudWatch, so that you can view task execution delays and workflow errors across one or more environments.
Plug-in integration
Managed Workflows is designed to connect to the AWS resources required for your workflows and to enable you to connect to your own on-premises resources.
