The verified checkmark helps reduce customers suspecting your valid messages are spam or phishing. Unlike SMS, where your identity appears as just a phone number, RCS establishes your brand presence before the first message is read. 

RCS automatically falls back to SMS when the recipient's device doesn't support RCS — ensuring your messages reach their destination. You send one message through a single API, and AWS handles the complexity of carrier detection and fallback routing. No separate code paths, no duplicate logic, just reliable delivery.
