The Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators is comprised of superintendents and administrators representing 56 Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) in the State of Michigan. ISD administrators provide and coordinate essential services to their constituent school districts to facilitate teaching and learning. By coordinating efforts and resources, ISDs provide specialized services to students that would not be affordable/feasible otherwise. These services can include special education, vocational training, interdisciplinary subjects, language programs, early childhood education, parent services, community involvement, transportation, extracurricular activities, lifelong learning and adult education, and other necessary and exciting benefits are shared across districts for the success of every learner.  

For the past 10 years, MAISA has spearheaded statewide K12 initiatives to integrate digital solutions into the educational landscape, empowering educators, students, and families alike. Through comprehensive digital platforms and secure infrastructure, MAISA has facilitated seamless communication, streamlined administrative tasks, and enhanced learning experiences. By leveraging digital tools, MAISA continues to adapt and evolve, ensuring that Michigan's educational system remains dynamic, responsive, and primed for success in the digital age.  MAISA continues to grow with statewide K12 cyber security (state funded grants), and has secured     $200M in multi-year funding over the past 10 years to support the initiatives. 

What is the AWS Champions Program?

The AWS Champions program recognizes, celebrates, and supports organizations and individuals driving digital transformation with cloud computing. AWS recognizes AWS Education Champions, AWS State and Local Government Champions, AWS EdTech Champions, and AWS GovTech Champions.

The purpose of the program is to acknowledge customers that have used AWS products and services in innovative ways to improve the service to their communities, constituents, customers, stakeholders, staff, students, faculty or researchers. Champions’ experiences and success stories serve as inspiration for other education, state and local government, EdTech and GovTech customers to reference as they think about their own digital transformation journey.
