Shruthi Sreenivasa Murthy, Assistant Director and Lead Solutions Architect - Research Computing, Saint Louis University

Shruthi Murthy serves as the Assistant Director and the Lead Solutions Architect for Research Computing at Saint Louis University. She manages the cloud transformation initiatives for SLU Research. During her nearly five years at SLU, Shruthi has designed and built secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that are highly customizable and capable of handling large volumes of data from diverse sources. She provides researchers with the necessary cloud computing resources to efficiently analyze and process their data.
A noteworthy achievement is Shruthi’s leadership to migrate the REDCap platform from the SLU data center to AWS cloud. REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases relied upon by more than 600 researchers at SLU. This migration provided enhanced security, performance, scalability, and reliability for the REDCap platform and its users. Shruthi has brought new capabilities and innovations in her service to Saint Louis University researchers.
Prior to joining Saint Louis University, Shruthi served as a Program Manager for Ideas2IT Technologies and was responsible for Talent Management and People Strategy for Engineering and Data Science teams.
Shruthi earned a Master of Science in Information Systems and Technology from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Bangalore University.

What is the AWS Champions Program?
The AWS Champions program recognizes, celebrates, and supports organizations and individuals driving digital transformation with cloud computing. AWS recognizes AWS Education Champions, AWS State and Local Government Champions, AWS EdTech Champions, and AWS GovTech Champions.
The purpose of the program is to acknowledge customers that have used AWS products and services in innovative ways to improve the service to their communities, constituents, customers, stakeholders, staff, students, faculty or researchers. Champions’ experiences and success stories serve as inspiration for other education, state and local government, EdTech and GovTech customers to reference as they think about their own digital transformation journey.
