Scaling Secure Inference to Global Scale with Project Mantle in Amazon Bedrock Amazon Bedrock's Project Mantle represents a fundamental reimagining of how we serve generative AI inference at scale. Join AWS engineers as we unveil Mantle's architecture and take you behind the scenes, exploring how we've raised the bar on security, performance, and developer experience. We'll start with the "why"óthe technical and security challenges that drove us to build a next-generation inference engine operating at massive scale and global reach from the ground upóand how Mantle's design and architectural considerations are overcoming those challenges. Next, we'll explore what Mantle means for you as a builder. You'll learn about OpenAI-compatible APIs for easy migration, asynchronous inference for long-running tasks, and practical considerations like inference tiers, quota management, and expanded regional availability. Finally, we'll hear from a customer about real-world experience with open-weight models on Mantle, including their value proposition and production use cases. Whether you're building AI applications today or planning for tomorrow, you'll leave with practical insights to leverage Bedrock's most advanced inference capabilities securely and at scale.

Kiro: Supercharging Enterprise Developer Productivity with agents, specs, steering and powers
AI coding assistants promise explosive productivity gains, but they're creating a new problem: uncontrolled code chaos. Teams are generating code faster than they can review it, coding standards are very hard to enforce when humans aren't writing the code and codebases are becoming unmaintainable messes. Kiro solves this with it's Spec driven developement. A structured, deterministic development flow that replaces "vibe coding" with repeatable outputs. This session explores how Kiro's Specs, Steering modes, Powers and Subagents give enterprise teams the control they need whilst maintaining AI powered productivity. We'll show the complete Kiro workflow and hear from Flutter Entertainment's Director of Engineering, who will share how spec driven development transformed their Terraform knowledge gaps into a production ready solution deployed across teams.

LLM customization: the good, the bad and the ugly
LLM customization promises better quality and control, but reality is mixed. This talk reviews what works well in practice, what disappoints, and what remains hard even for experienced teams. It contrasts common customization paths across Bedrock and SageMaker, drawing on real trade-offs in data, cost, and operational burden. Along the way, it highlights failure modes, hidden constraints, and sharp edges that rarely make it into blogs. The perspective is practical rather than theoretical, drawn from ML engineers who work on these problems every day.
