Announcing MFA-protected API access

We’re pleased to announce MFA-protected API access, a new feature of AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You can now enforce MFA authentication for AWS service APIs via AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies. This provides an extra layer of security over powerful operations that you designate, such as terminating Amazon EC2 instances or reading sensitive data stored in Amazon S3.
