Amazon Kinesis Agent is a pre-built Java application that offers an easy way to collect and ingest data into Amazon Kinesis services. The agent monitors log files you specify and continuously sends new data to Amazon Kinesis Streams and Amazon Kinesis Firehose.
Amazon Kinesis Agent now supports using an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) role for authentication. You can set an IAM role in the agent configuration and the agent will assume the role to get permission to put data into your Kinesis streams and Firehose delivery streams.
