These latest Quick Starts automatically deploy two products from Informatica, Big Data Management and PowerCenter, on the AWS Cloud. Informatica is an advanced AWS technology partner that provides data integration software and services. The Quick Starts were created by AWS solutions architects in collaboration with the Informatica Big Data Management and PowerCenter teams, to integrate solutions and services from both companies.
Informatica Big Data Management helps organizations process large, diverse, fast-changing datasets and perform big data integration and transformation without writing or maintaining Apache Hadoop code. Informatica PowerCenter is a data integration solution that can process billions of records and connect to a vast array of data sources, including AWS services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).
Each Quick Start builds the AWS infrastructure and deploys the Informatica solution on AWS with a single click. The AWS environment consists of a virtual private cloud (VPC) that spans two Availability Zones and includes public and private subnets. You can also choose to deploy Big Data Management or PowerCenter into your existing VPC infrastructure on AWS. The deployment and configuration tasks are automated by AWS CloudFormation templates that you can customize during launch.
Quick Starts are automated reference deployments for key workloads on the AWS Cloud. Each Quick Start launches, configures, and runs the AWS compute, network, storage, and other services required to deploy a specific workload on AWS, using AWS best practices for security and availability. This is the latest in a series of Quick Starts built by AWS in collaboration with AWS partners to automate the deployment of popular products and technologies on AWS.
