Starting today, Amazon Elasticsearch Service supports Elasticsearch 6.2 and Kibana 6.2. Elasticsearch 6.2 offers several enhancements over the Elasticsearch 6.0 stack, including a new ranking evaluation API, index splitting API, Vega interactive visualizations, and composite aggregations with paging.
Amazon Elasticsearch Service delivers Elasticsearch’s easy-to-use APIs and real-time capabilities along with the availability, scalability, and security required by production workloads. When creating an Amazon Elasticsearch Service domain, you can now select Elasticsearch version 6.2. All Amazon Elasticsearch Service domains using Elasticsearch 6.2 are bundled with Kibana 6.2, the corresponding version of the open-source visualization tool.
Elasticsearch 6.2 on Amazon Elasticsearch Service is available in all AWS Regions where Amazon Elasticsearch Service is offered. To learn more about today’s announcement, check out our documentation.
