You can now configure your Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics applications to enrich a source data stream with an Amazon S3 object in the AWS Management console.
A reference data source is static data that your streaming application uses to enrich data coming in from streaming sources. You store reference data as an object in your S3 bucket. You can use this new console feature to add, edit, or view reference data used to enrich an input data stream. For example, you can add character metadata to streaming game events, system information to log files, and much more.
Kinesis Data Analytics is the easiest way to process streaming data in real time with standard SQL without having to learn new programming languages or processing frameworks. Kinesis Data Analytics enables you to query streaming data or build entire streaming applications using SQL, so that you can gain actionable insights and respond to your business and customer needs promptly. Kinesis Data Analytics is available in US (Northern Virginia), US (Oregon), and EU (Ireland).
