Starting today, Amazon Data Lifecycle Manager (Amazon DLM) for EBS Snapshots is available in the Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) and Middle East (Bahrain) region. Amazon DLM provides a simple, automated way to back up data stored on Amazon EBS volumes. With this feature, you no longer have to rely on custom scripts to create and manage your EBS volume backups.
To get started, tag your EBS volumes and start creating lifecycle policies via Amazon Data Lifecycle Manager. You can create the policies in the AWS Management Console, from the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) or via the Data Lifecycle Manager APIs.
With this expansion, DLM is now available in 18 AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), EU (London), EU (Paris), EU (Stockholm), Middle East (Bahrain) and South America (São Paulo).
