Amazon RDS for MySQL has been updated to support release 5.6.46, release 5.7.28, and release 8.0.17 of the MySQL database. These releases include a number of bug fixes as well as functionality improvements.
To use the new versions, you can create a new Amazon RDS database instance with just a few clicks in the Amazon RDS Management Console, or modify an existing instance using a point-and-click upgrade. See the documentation for more information about MySQL versions and upgrade procedures.
