Announcing Route Analyzer in AWS Transit Gateway Network Manager

Posted on: May 4, 2020

We are excited to announce Route Analyzer, a new feature available through AWS Transit Gateway Network Manager that enables you to perform route analysis on Transit Gateways in your global networks. With Route Analyzer, you can easily verify routing configurations of Transit Gateways across your global network by simply running network connectivity analysis on transit gateways between the given source and the destination.

Previously, route analysis on Transit Gateways in a global network typically involved multiple steps such as identifying the right attachment, finding the corresponding associated route table and ensuring that the routes are properly configured for the connectivity to be successful.

Now with Route Analyzer, you can verify that the transit gateway route table configuration will work as expected before you start sending live traffic, validate your existing route configuration, and diagnose route-related issues that are causing traffic disruption in your global network. Route Analyzer will also provide hop-by-hop details of transit gateway network path based on configured routes on the associated route table. To learn more about Route Analyzer, please visit documentation.

Route Analyzer in AWS Transit Gateway Network Manager is available in these AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (Oregon, N. California), Europe (Ireland, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Stockholm), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai), Canada (Central), South America (São Paolo), and Middle East (Bahrain).
