Starting today, you can use the Amazon Chime SDK for JavaScript to build audio calling and video calling applications designed for the mobile web. With JavaScript SDK support on Google Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS, you can engage your customers on their mobile devices without requiring a download. When downloading an app is preferred, you can build native mobile apps using the Amazon Chime SDKs for iOS and Android.
The Amazon Chime SDK for JavaScript is used to connect your web application to Amazon Chime SDK audio and video resources in your AWS account. If you are already using the Amazon Chime SDK in a web application, you can add support for mobile web by integrating the latest version of the SDK available on npm and updating your application UI for the mobile form factor.
The Amazon Chime SDK is a set of real-time communications components that developers can use to quickly add audio calling, video calling, and screen sharing capabilities to their own web or mobile applications.
