Starting today, you can view AWS Systems Manager Explorer’s operational data across multiple accounts and Regions from a delegated administrator account in your organization, in addition to the master account in AWS Organizations. This helps you improve security and flexibility by providing the ability to dedicate a separate operations account for viewing operations data and investigating issues across your organization.
With this new feature, the master account from the organization can now designate one member account within the same organization as a delegated administrator. The delegated administrator can aggregate data from across multiple accounts and Regions, then search and filter this data in the AWS console or by using the AWS SDK or CLI.
AWS Organizations helps you centrally govern your environment and your workloads on AWS. Whether you are a growing startup or a large enterprise, Organizations helps you centrally manage billing; control access, compliance, and security; and share resources across your AWS accounts. Systems Manager Explorer is an operations dashboard that provides a view of your operations data such as patch compliance and instance details, helping you see where you may need to investigate and remediate operational issues.
Systems Manager Explorer is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Paris), Europe (Stockholm) and South America (São Paulo) AWS Regions.
