Starting today, Amazon RDS for SQL Server supports enabling or disabling certain security protocols and ciphers. By creating a custom DB parameter group and associating it with your DB instance, you can disable or enable older versions of Transport Layer Security (TLS) such as TLS 1.0 and 1.1. You can also disable or enable ciphers such as the RC4 stream cipher.
Learn more about how to configure disabling older versions of TLS in RDS from this blog post, and see the Amazon Relational Database Services User Guide for more information.
Amazon RDS for SQL Server makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale SQL Server deployments in the cloud. See Amazon RDS for SQL Server Pricing for pricing details and regional availability.
