AWS Systems Manager Explorer now supports grouping and customization of operational data sources

Posted on: Sep 15, 2020

AWS Systems Manager Explorer now supports new service customizations to help you easily discover and personalize operational data sources based on their business needs. Systems Manager Explorer is an operations dashboard that provides a view of your operations data across your AWS accounts and Regions, helping you see where you may need to investigate and remediate operational issues.

With this new feature, you can group operational data sources by categories such as security, cost savings, governance, and availability from Explorer setting page. Customers now have improved flexibility to configure the Explorer dashboard, add all data widgets, and reset the dashboard layout. You can also select data widgets based on operational data sources such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Compute Optimizer, and AWS Support cases.

This new feature is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), Europe (Ireland), Europe (London), Europe (Paris), AWS GovCloud (US-West), AWS GovCloud (US-East), Middle East (Bahrain), and South America (São Paulo) AWS Regions.

To get started, select Explorer from the Systems Manager left navigation menu. To learn more, see the documentation on AWS Systems Manager Explorer or the AWS Systems Manager product page
