AWS Cloud Map is now available in the AWS Africa (Cape Town) and Europe (Milan) AWS Regions.
AWS Cloud Map is a cloud resource discovery service. With AWS Cloud Map, you can define custom names for your application resources, such as Amazon Elastic Container Services tasks, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instances, Amazon Simple Storage Service buckets, Amazon DynamoDB tables, or any other cloud resource. You can then use these custom names to discover the location and metadata of cloud resources from your applications using AWS SDK and authenticated API queries. AWS Cloud Map is a highly available, managed service with rapid change propagation.
