AWS Launch Wizard now configures Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) clustering for High Availability (HA) at the SAP application layer.
Prior to this launch, Launch Wizard automated HA configuration for HANA databases and deployed the SAP application layer HA components, including ABAP Central Services (ASCS) and Enqueue Replication Server (ERS). However, you were required you to manually configure RHEL/ SUSE for HA at the application layer. This launch eliminates this manual work.
Launch Wizard supports single node, multi-node, or HA deployment patterns for SAP HANA databases and HANA-based NetWeaver applications. When you select the HA deployment pattern, Launch Wizard will configure the cluster resources and build a highly available application that spans multiple AWS Availability Zones.
