Amazon CloudWatch announces the availability of moving graphs, which allows you to animate your CloudWatch Dashboard and more easily see the progression of health and operational performance trends over time.
Moving graphs is useful in identifying the specific time an operational issue occurred and can be used to correlate trends across many related resources or AWS services. Moving graphs allows customers to switch their dashboards into animation mode to replay operational data for a period of time. A moving graph automatically visualizes a moving window over your data, creating the effect of trends emerging as the time window progresses. You can pause, fast forward, rewind and zoom in or out to pinpoint events at a given time, helping you to correlate issues.
