AWS Outposts is now supported in AWS Asia Pacific (Osaka) Region. AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any customer datacenter, co-location space, or on-premises facility. Outposts is ideal for workloads that require low latency access to on-premises systems, local data processing, data residency, and migration of applications with local system interdependencies.
Organizations from startups to enterprise and the public sector in and outside of Japan can now connect Outposts to the AWS Asia Pacific (Osaka) Region. AWS Outposts enables customers to run workloads that need low latency access to on-premises systems locally while connecting back to the AWS Asia Pacific (Osaka) Region for application management. You can also use Outposts and AWS Services to manage and process data that remain on premises to meet data residency requirements. With this regional expansion, both AWS Asia Pacific (Osaka) Region and AWS Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region in Japan now support Outposts, providing additional flexibility in the AWS Regions that your Outposts can connect to. In addition, you can now have multiple logical Outposts connected to Availability Zones (AZs) in different AWS Regions within Japan for high availability configuration.
