Today, AWS Service Catalog is releasing a new Getting Started Library (GSL) experience that simplifies discovering best practice templates and offers better guidance for Service Catalog Administrators when they use the library. The GSL contains more than 250 AWS best practice solutions for a wide variety of technical and business problems. The Library is regularly enriched with new solutions, with “New Relic AWS Control Tower Integration” or “Amazon EKS Architecture” as recent additions.
When Service Catalog Administrators navigate into the new GSL, they now have a direct access to search across all of the best practice templates from the GSL home page. They can search by keyword to find the template they need. For example, customers can search for “AI” and immediately access various templates such as “AI Powered Speech Analytics for Amazon Connect” or “AI-Powered Health Data Masking”. Once they find a relevant template for their use case, Service Catalog Administrators can now click on the “Add to portfolio” button and easily add the template to their catalog. A step-by-step explanation banner at the top of the page gives Service Catalog Administrators guidance on how to use the GSL to find a relevant template, organize their catalog with portfolios, add the right governance for their use, and distribute the templates with their teams. The new GSL allows customers to accelerate new workload creation efficiently and safely on AWS.
The new Getting Started Library is available via the Service Catalog console in all AWS commercial and GovCloud Regions. To learn more, see Getting Started Library in AWS Service Catalog.
