Amazon Athena is an interactive query service that makes it easy to analyze data in Amazon S3 using standard SQL. Athena is serverless, so there is no infrastructure to manage, and you pay only for the queries that you run.
With today’s release, Amazon Athena and its latest features and benefits are available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Osaka) region. This release expands Athena’s availability in Asia Pacific to include Hong Kong, Mumbai, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
