AWS Data Exchange subscribers can now track and manage their organizations’ entitlements to AWS Data Exchange products using AWS License Manager. With this enhancement, subscribers can manage and distribute licenses using individual Account IDs or Organization IDs, which entitles other accounts within their AWS organization to access data procured via AWS Data Exchange. For organizations with elaborate AWS account structures, this eases the burden of managing data entitlements across accounts.
Using AWS License Manager to track and distribute licenses of AWS Data Exchange products, administrators can emulate and enforce the terms of their licensing agreements by controlling which accounts can access the data in AWS Data Exchange. Subscribers can view and manage entitlement access and distribution for AWS Data Exchange products from all regions in the AWS License Manager Console UI and APIs, which makes auditing, compliance, and reporting easier to manage.
AWS Data Exchange makes it easy to find, subscribe to, and use third-party data in the cloud. Customers use AWS Data Exchange to subscribe to a diverse selection of third-party data products. Once subscribed, customers can use the AWS Data Exchange API or console to export the data they’ve subscribed to into Amazon S3, making it directly available for analysis using AWS’s analytics and machine learning services.
