NICE DCV version 2022.1 introduces performance improvements and multiple new features, such as support for Rocky Linux 8.5 and Ubuntu 22.04 servers. NICE DCV is a high-performance remote display protocol that helps customers securely access remote desktop or application sessions, including 3D graphics applications hosted on servers with high-performance GPUs.

NICE DCV version 2022.1 contains the following features and improvements:

  • Performance improvements - this release improves streaming performance and up to a 30% reduction of overall CPU consumption on non-GPU servers.
  • Support for new Linux distributions - NICE DCV server software adds support for Ubuntu 22.04, Rocky Linux 8.5 and higher. NICE DCV native Linux client adds support for Ubuntu 22.04.
  • Improved collaboration experience with native clients - New UI improvements make it easier for users to get notified when someone joins the session. Session owners can also manage collaborators and viewers of a session. With this release, the collaboration experience has been improved on Windows, Mac, and Linux native clients and unified with UI introduced in the 2022.0 release of the Web client.
  • Support AWS Graviton instances for NICE DCV Session Manager broker - NICE DCV Session Manager broker can now be deployed on instances with AWS Graviton processor.
