AWS Firewall Manager now enables you to configure AWS WAF to add custom web requests and responses.

AWS WAF enables you to insert custom headers into HTTP requests when forwarding requests to your server, enabling your server to process requests differently based on inserted headers. In addition, AWS WAF enables you to modify HTTP responses to include status codes such as 2xx (Successful), 3xx (redirects), 4xx (client errors), or 5xx (server errors) and to insert content into the HTTP response body, enabling you to redirect users and provide additional customized error messages to indicate the reason for a block. Starting today, Firewall Manager simplifies WAF deployment by enabling you to configure custom requests and responses from a centralized administrator account. You can get started with custom requests and responses for new and existing AWS WAF policies.

AWS Firewall Manager is a security management service that acts as a central place for you to configure and deploy firewall rules across accounts and resources in your organization. With Firewall Manager, you can deploy and monitor rules for AWS WAF, AWS Shield Advanced, VPC security groups, AWS Network Firewall, Amazon Route 53 Resolver DNS Firewall, and third-party firewalls across your entire organization. For detailed information, see the AWS Firewall Manager documentation and the AWS Region Table for the list of regions where AWS Firewall Manager is currently available.
