AWS Elemental MediaTailor performs server-side ad insertion (SSAI) for a seamless viewing experience when transitioning from program content to ad breaks. You can now configure MediaTailor to condition the personalized SSAI manifests with metadata associated with the ads that have been stitched into the stream.
This new feature is designed to the reduce video start time (VST) for sessions that rely on ad timing to construct video timelines. It also enable customers that use server-side tracking to simplify their player-side enhancements, which may include player controls for timeline rendering, ad skip controls, or interactivity components.
