Today, Amazon QuickSight is announcing the general availability of a native Starburst connector that will enable customers to connect to Starburst directly from Amazon QuickSight. The native Starburst data connector supports connectivity to Starburst Enterprise for on-premises instances and Starburst Galaxy for managed instances.
Starburst is a full-featured data lake analytics service built on top of a massively parallel processing (MPP) query engine, Trino. With this launch, customers will be able to perform advanced analysis of their Starburst data in QuickSight by directly querying the data or ingesting in QuickSight using SPICE (Super-fast, Parallel, In-memory Calculation Engine). The connector also offers support for both public connectivity through the internet or private connections through a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). Please visit our User Guide to learn more.
Starburst connector for QuickSight is now available in all supported Amazon QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Frankfurt, Stockholm, Paris, Ireland and London), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
