Today, Amazon QuickSight is announcing the general availability of a native Trino connector that will enable customers to connect to Trino directly from Amazon QuickSight. This launch provides both console and full API support to create, update, edit and delete data sources.
Trino is a massively parallel processing (MPP) query engine built to query petabyte-scale data lakes, fast. With this launch, customers will be able to perform advanced analysis of their Trino data in QuickSight by directly querying the data or ingesting in QuickSight using SPICE (Super-fast, Parallel, In-memory Calculation Engine). The connector also offers support for both public connectivity through the internet or private connections through a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). Please visit our User Guide to learn more.
Trino connector for QuickSight is now available in all supported Amazon QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Frankfurt, Stockholm, Paris, Ireland and London), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo), and AWS GovCloud (US-West).
