AWS Marketplace announces a new subscription experience in the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) console. This feature allows AWS customers to subscribe to Kubernetes software from leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) directly in the EKS console without needing to visit the AWS Marketplace website.
At re:invent 2022, AWS announced that customers can deploy operational software on their EKS clusters directly from the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) console. If a customer required a subscription to the software, they were redirected to the AWS Marketplace website to complete the subscription before they could deploy the software on their EKS clusters. With this launch, AWS customers now have an end to end experience to find, subscribe to, and deploy Kubernetes based operational software directly from the EKS console. Subscribing to software from the EKS console will provide customers the same benefits as any other subscription on AWS Marketplace, including consolidated billing, private pricing for negotiated deals, and lower pricing for long-term contracts.
Subscription from the Amazon EKS console will first be available in the eu-west-1 and eu-central-1 regions.
Navigate to the EKS console to subscribe to EKS add-ons from leading third-party vendors such as Kubecost, Dynatrace, Upbound, Tetrate, Teleport, Factor House, HA Proxy, Kasten, and others.
