AWS is pleased to announce an update to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, which will provide customers and partners with more prescriptive guidance on building and operating in the cloud, and enable them to stay up-to-date on the latest architectural best practices in a constantly evolving technological landscape.

The enhanced implementation guidance for the new and updated best practices in this release are more prescriptive, including enhanced recommendations and steps on reusable architecture patterns targeting specific business outcomes in the AWS Cloud.

The new version of the AWS Well-Architected Framework is described in the AWS Well-Architected whitepapers and is available in the AWS Well-Architected Tool in the following AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (N. California, Oregon), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm), South America (São Paulo), Asia Pacific (Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai, Hong Kong), Middle East (Bahrain), and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
