Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) now enables you to create environments in a shared, centrally-managed Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). VPC sharing allows teams, each with different AWS accounts, to create resources in a centrally-managed VPC. This reduces the number of VPCs that you need to create and manage, while using separate accounts for billing and access control.
Amazon MWAA is a managed orchestration service for Apache Airflow that makes it easier to set up and operate end-to-end data pipelines in the cloud. Shared VPC support for Amazon MWAA allows customers to manage their own endpoints within their VPCs, adding compatibility to shared, or otherwise restricted, VPCs. Specifying customer-managed endpoints also provides the ability to meet strict security policies by explicitly restricting VPC resource access to those needed by their MWAA environments.
You can launch a new Amazon MWAA environment with just a few clicks in the AWS Management Console in all currently supported Amazon MWAA regions. To learn more about shared VPC support in Amazon MWAA, visit the Launch Blog. To learn more about Amazon MWAA visit the Amazon MWAA documentation.
