Announcing Region Expansion of P4d instances on SageMaker Studio notebooks
We are pleased to announce general availability of Amazon EC2 P4d instances in Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Canada (Central), South America (São Paulo) on SageMaker Studio notebooks.
Amazon EC2 P4d instances are powered by 8 NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs and 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. They provide up to 100 Gbps networking throughput with 96 vCPUs, 1.1 TB instance memory, and 8 TB of local NVMe SSD storage. You can use P4d instances for interactive model training for use cases such as generative AI foundation model tuning with billions of parameters, natural language processing, computer vision, and recommender engines.
