AWS Startup Accelerator - Cohort 4 Recruitment

The AWS Startup Accelerator ("Accelerator") is a comprehensive program designed to empower Chinese startups expanding globally. Our goal is to help founders capitalize on the Generative AI boom and accelerate their expansion into international markets. We partner with expert mentors to provide technical and business training, invite leading global startups to share insights, and connect you with AWS Partners and large enterprise resources.

We are looking for Generative AI innovation startups, startups driving GenAI commercialization, and AI hardware innovators.

• Stage: Series B or earlier (including Series B).
• We invite founders leveraging cloud and GenAI for product innovation and global expansion.

• Publicly listed companies and their affiliates.
• Government agencies or state-owned entities.
• Startups engaged in illegal activities or violating the AWS Acceptable Use Policy.
• Companies where an AWS employee holds a leadership position.
• Entities violating applicable sanctions or export control laws.

We evaluate based on product/technical innovation, market potential, team background, and funding status.

No. This cohort is for "Go Global" startups with mature products. If you are in the ideation phase, please consider the AWS Activated Program.

While we understand special circumstances, we strongly recommend arranging a core team representative (e.g., Co-founder) to attend in person for the best experience and networking opportunities.

The Accelerator operates on a hybrid model, featuring in-person courses, online sessions, and an offline roadshow. The specific schedule for offline courses and the roadshow will be sent to selected startups upon announcement of the admission results. For online sessions, you will need a computer with a camera and a reliable internet connection. Please note that AWS will not cover travel or accommodation expenses for participating startups.

No. Even if you have never used AWS, you are welcome to apply. AWS Solutions Architects will guide you on building with AWS.

We provide technical/business knowledge sharing, practical insights from global startups, and deep technical empowerment. You gain access to AWS Partner support and large enterprise connections. Our team also facilitates one-on-one support from internal AWS experts based on your goals.

Each startup is matched with a dedicated mentor. They link you to internal/external experts and resources to ensure you receive maximum support tailored to your goals.

You must provide basic startup info, business overview, founding team details, and your goals for the program. A company deck or business plan is required.

• Screening: Based on submitted materials (funding, team, etc.).
• Interview: A 30-minute interview (10-min intro, 20-min Q&A) with experts for shortlisted startups.
• Final Selection: Comprehensive assessment based on materials and interview performance.

No. AWS does not take any equity from participating startups.

Yes. However, as this cohort focuses on AI, your startup team must have at least one technical executive or co-founder participate in the Accelerator.
