Paul Yang

Paul Yang is Managing Partner of Draper Athena Fund, a cross border of technology investment fund. Paul is also Founding Partner of New Catalyst Partners, an investment advisory firm focused on advising Asian companies or private equity funds on cross-border M&A transactions.

Prior to New Catalyst Partners, Paul was Managing Director of Franklin Templeton Investment, responsible for establishing the China private equity fund investing in growth stage companies in China and cross border M&A transactions. Prior to Franklin Templeton, Paul was Global Vice President of Hewlett-Packard, responsible for managing emerging mobile business, and involved in a number M&A transactions which drove HP's business transformation.

Paul was an awarded winner of China Mathematical Olympiad in the 80’s. Paul started his career developing mathematical modeling software for Wall Street hedge fund, then moved to Silicon Valley as an entrepreneur and later became a venture investor, driving several startup companies to successful exits.

Paul attended Fudan University in China majored in Mathematics, graduated from New York University with a Master's degree in Computer Science and from University of California, Los Angeles with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Paul is a passionate collector of classical oriental art. Paul is actively involved world-class art institutions, as the board member of Boston of Museum of Fine Art and advisor of Williams College’s Clark Institute.

Keyvan Peymani

Head of Global Startup Marketing, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Keyvan Peymani is a veteran senior executive and thought leader working at the intersection of technology, media, and venture capital. Mr. Peymani serves as the Head of Startup Marketing for Amazon Web Services and is responsible for the global marketing strategy.

Prior, he served as a Venture Partner and Senior Advisor to Touchdown Ventures, a VC firm pairing with several leading corporations to establish and manage their platforms. He served as the Managing Director, Digital Strategy Division at ICM Partners, one of the world’s largest talent and literary agencies, and was the firm's chief digital executive, reporting to the Executive Board. He focused on expanding the agency’s efforts across all venture and digital initiatives, creating new opportunities for the agency and its clients, establishing new businesses, and leading partnerships and investments into startups. He also served as the Vice President of Direct to Consumer Business Planning and Operations at Warner Bros., where he led strategy, operations, planning and development for the division. In addition, he oversaw three business areas, including mobile apps, and worked on industry-leading forays into OTT, the first fully digital movie apps, the first screenings of movies in Facebook, and the acquisition of Flixster.

Prior, he was the head of content acquisitions for catalog content and led the wholesales efforts at Netflix; he led alternative business development for Disney’s music group; and he was the Chief Operating Officer of Nettwerk Music Group.

Mr. Peymani began his career leading his own web and tech services startup and has advised Fortune 100 companies around the world. He is a sought-after speaker, and has delivered keynotes and been a panelist at the largest and most influential events in the media, technology, and venture landscapes. In addition, Mr. Peymani serves on the faculty of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, covering emerging business models in media.

Jordan H.S. Pan

Established and ran software engineering organizations for two companies with multi-locations in North America and Asia. Introduced and applied Agile development and continuous delivery practice and helped both companies to achieve 24 hours non-stop development cycle.

Hands-on experience in Mobile Development, High Performance and High Availability Multi-Tiered Distributed Systems integration. Accomplished numerous product launches and commercial deployment of enterprise/Telecom-class software systems including commercial deployment of Mobile Device Management and Customer Care solutions at Swisscom, Orange (French Telecom), China Mobile, China Unicom.

Dan Reardon

Head of Performance Marketing at VUDU

Dan Reardon leads the performance marketing team at VUDU, a stream video service at Walmart.com. Prior to that, Dan was at NerdWallet as Head of Performance Marketing, driving ROI and LTV activities via TV and digital channels.

Before that, Dan was the revenue and marketing leader for the Snapfish US business, driving revenue and margin results by heading up a team of digital marketers. Dan was also a member of the executive senior leadership team at Snapfish and in 2015. Dan helped to craft the successful divestiture path for Snapfish to exit Hewlett Packard Company as a business unit and go private, selling the operation to District Photo Inc, one of the largest US commercial printing companies.

Before focusing on the US, Dan was Worldwide Head of Marketing & Sales across 12 countries, building on Dan’s prior role as General Manager for Snapfish Asia Pacific. Dan spent a three-year stint in Sydney and had direct reports in Japan, China, India, and Singapore.

In the 1990s, Dan called Hong Kong his home for six years. There Dan worked for the Walt Disney Company as part of the inaugural China office.

Jim Berkman

Founder & CMO at Narratus Group

Jim is a startup veteran with over 25 years’ of marketing, brand and product experience. Before founding Narratus Group, Jim ran marketing for several B2B startups in the Networking Performance and Network Visibility spaces. While at Gigamon, he took them from early-stage startup through successful IPO on the NYSE. Previously, Jim was Founder and head of product at The Telos Network, a startup developing IP-addressable digital signage networks for hospitality and retail. Earlier in his career, Jim held enterprise field sales roles for several F1000 organizations, including Unigate PLC and Dial/Viad.

Throughout his career, Jim has worked closely with technology innovators such as Cisco, AT&T, Verizon, Fluke Networks and Alcatel/Lucent. Jim is an alumnus of Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business, and holds an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.

Jim is also proud to volunteer with Ableworks, a non-profit equipping individuals with financial literacy and life skills that enable them to escape systemic poverty, and Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition (BAATC), who's goal is to equip and engage individuals, civic groups, and non-profits with best practices to sustain in the fight against human trafficking in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Sherwood Yao

Sherwood Yao is focused on enabling global organizations to quickly deliver more value to customers via innovations - with out-of-the-box thinking and faster execution.

Prior to Cleen, Sherwood led the ecosystem development of ISV around IBM's cloud platform - Platform as a Service. Prior to that, Sherwood was a full stack engineer for IBM consulting division GBS/ISSL and later a development manager, a product manager at WebSphere/Cloud software product line. Sherwood had extensive experience in architecture and developing enterprise software and social CRM software.
