  • Generative AI is increasingly a point of focus globally. Scalability of the cloud, a massive proliferation of data, and the rapid advancement of ML technologies have positioned AI for wide-scale adoption. History, however, has taught us that realizing the value of transformational technologies isn’t always a linear process. It requires leadership, cultural shift, operating model changes, and investments in new skills. In this session, I will share lessons learned from past major technological shifts, how leaders can apply them to generative AI, and the differentiated approach that AWS is taking to democratise generative AI.

    Speakers:

    • Phil Le-Brun, AWS Global Strategist and former Corporate VP of McDonald's Corp
  • The importance of transformation remains a key concern for C-level executives in many organizations as they recognize their current operating model is hindering progress. Drawing from numerous engagements with executives from leading global organisations and insights from Amazon's experiences and research, the Enterprise Strategy team at AWS has identified patterns of success and failure in organisational transformation. In this session, consider mental models based on real-world experiences designed to help organizations assess their competitiveness, understand the organisational and staffing implications for achieving their goals, and get insight into how forward-thinking companies effectively manage their workforce to deliver exceptional results.

    Speakers

    • Jonathan Allen, AWS Global Strategist and former CTO of Capital One Bank
  • When executives consistently make decisions and investments with long-term objectives in mind, companies generate more shareholder value and create more jobs versus companies that focus on the short term. But what differentiates long-term oriented companies from others. How have they avoided the pitfalls of a short-term perspective? In this session, hear from thought leaders on how the assessment and application of new technologies, such as generative AI or the move to SaaS, can be leveraged to influence an organization's valuation.

Leadership Sessions

  • As leaders create and navigate a future fuelled by AI, they need more than just IQ and “hard” skills to succeed. They need to integrate their cognitive intelligence with their emotional intelligence to build adaptable, resilient, and innovative organisations. These leaders have deep empathy for their customers and foster a culture of creativity and psychological safety among their employees. They are data-driven but also authentically human. This session will help executives understand the EPIC attributes that empower future-ready leaders—empathy, purpose, inspiration, and connection—so they can drive successful outcomes for their business, their customers, and their people in the new human+AI era.

    Speakers

    • Rich Hua, Worldwide Head of EPIC Leadership & Chief EQ Evangelist
  • As organisations continue to accelerate the adoption of gen AI many are challenged with moving from first use case to deploying solutions at scale. Numerous barriers exist from formulating the business case for transformation, shifting culture, unlocking legacy data stores, solving for talent gaps, and re-inventing outdated governance processes, and inadequate security, devops, and ethics mechanisms. This topic shares the lessons learned and journeys to date from leading organisations harnessing AWS to transform their businesses with data and gen AI. It addresses how to shift from mobilizing to scaling business value, and how to forge a holistic data and gen AI strategy considerate of mindset, people, process and technology transformation.

    Speakers

    • David Bloch, Principal Data Strategist, AWS
  • When it comes to building a resilient organization, cloud and agility go hand-in-hand. Team structure is key, and can make or break your ability to fully recognise the benefits. Leaders have an opportunity to untangle the complexity with small, multi-skilled, business outcome-focused teams, with the agility needed to maximize value from the cloud. This session will address key challenges related to new ways of working, potential blockers, and how to overcome them with effective implementation methods, like Amazon’s two-pizza teams.

    • Jonathan Allen, AWS Global Strategist and former CTO of Capital One Bank
