| Switch Roles in the AWS Management Console | Federated and IAM users can now switch roles in the AWS Management Console. You can use a role to grant your users access to resources across AWS accounts in the console using only one set of credentials. When switching to a role, the user temporarily gives up the permissions granted to the user and takes on the permissions granted to the role.
