New Features

Feature Description

COPY from Amazon EMR

The COPY command supports loading data directly from Amazon EMR clusters. For more information, see Loading data from Amazon EMR.

WLM concurrency limit increase

You can now configure workload management (WLM) to run up to 50 queries concurrently in user-defined query queues. This increase gives users more flexibility for managing system performance by modifying WLM configurations. For more information, see Defining query queues.

ECDH key exchange protocol

Amazon Redshift supports the Elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key exchange protocol. This means that you can connect to Amazon Redshift from SQL client tools that use ECDH to encrypt communication between the client and server. For more information, see Configure Security Options for Connections.
