You can now easily adopt best practices, such as infrastructure as code and continuous delivery, when you create a serverless application from the AWS Lambda console.
Serverless applications built using AWS Lambda are a combination of Lambda functions, event sources, and other resources defined using the AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM). Creating serverless applications with best practices such as infrastructure as code built in helps teams standardize components across organizations, rebuild applications quickly without having to perform manual actions, and enforce healthy stewardship practices such as code reviews.
You can now create new serverless applications from the Lambda console using a quick start template or from scratch. Serverless applications that you create from these new quick start templates include a source repository that tracks code changes, a build and packaging process for code and dependencies, and an automated release pipeline. You can also view an application’s deployment status alongside its operational metrics and logs, giving you a holistic view of your application’s performance.
