Introducing new sizes for C5d instance in Asia Pacific (Mumbai), and for M5, M5d, R5, R5d instances in Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) regions
Starting today, c5d.12xlarge, c5d.24xlarge and c5d.metal instance sizes are available in Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. Additionally, m5.metal, m5d.metal, r5.metal and r5d.metal instance sizes are available in Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) region.
c5d.12xlarge, c5d.24xlarge and c5d.metal instances offer high-speed local NVMe-based SSD block level storage connected directly to the host server and are powered by custom 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (Cascade Lake) with sustained all-core turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz and maximum single core turbo frequency of 3.9 GHz. C5d instances are optimized for compute-intensive workloads that need low-latency, high-speed local NVMe storage and are ideal for applications such as high-performance computing (HPC), machine learning, deep inference, distributed analytics, and batch processing.
M5, M5d, R5 and R5d bare metal instances provide direct access to the processor and memory resources of the underlying server. These instances are ideal for workloads that require access to the hardware feature set (such as Intel® VT-x), and for applications that need to run in non-virtualized environments for licensing or support requirements. Bare metal instances also allow EC2 customers to run applications that benefit from deep performance analysis tools.
With this expansion, c5d.12xlarge, c5d.24xlarge, and c5d.metal instances are available in the following AWS regions: US East (Northern Virginia, Ohio), US West (Oregon, Northern California), Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Sydney, Singapore, Seoul, Mumbai), Europe (Ireland, Frankfurt, London, Stockholm, Milan), South America (Sao Paulo), Canada (Central), Africa (Cape Town) and AWS GovCloud (US-West). C5d.metal is also available in the AWS China (Beijing, Ningxia) region.
m5.metal, m5d.metal, r5.metal and r5d.metal instances are available in the AWS US East (Northern Virginia, Ohio), US West (Northern California, Oregon), Europe (Frankfurt, Ireland, London, Paris, Stockholm, Milan), Middle East (Bahrain), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Osaka, Tokyo, Hong Kong), South America (Sao Paulo), China (Beijing, Ningxia), AWS GovCloud (US-West), Canada (Central) and Africa (Cape Town) regions. m5d.metal, r5.metal and r5d.metal instances are also available in AWS GovCloud (US-East) region.
